Position Information: Under the general direction of the Chief Technology Officer, the Associate Director of Strategic Architecture and Middleware is responsible for providing leadership to the Strategic Architecture and Middleware group within the Enterprise Infrastructure department of Computing and Communications. The Strategic Architecture and Middleware team is focused on three areas: developing standards, policies, and reference architectures to by used by C&C staff when delivering new services, project portfolio management and developing middleware functionality to support identity management and application integration. Finally, the Associate Director will be responsible for business process analysis and supporting the development of Lean IT methodologies within Computing and Communications.
Minimum Requirements: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with executive-level management on a regular basis.
Demonstrated ability to build and deliver technology strategy and solutions across multiple functions in a complex environment.
Requires knowledge of Enterprise Architectural principles, theories, and concepts.
Experience in the development of large-scale systems that support mission-critical IT environments.
Thorough knowledge relating to the design and development of IT architecture across the organization.
Familiarity with project management principles.
Familiarity with Lean IT practices and methodology.
Familiarity with ITIL and other IT Service Mangement frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in IT on a University of California campus.
Familiarity with UC Riverside Computing and Communications services and architecture.
Familiarity with application integration concepts.
