Full/Part Time Full-Time
This position will serve as a key resource for the University by providing advanced financial planning and analytical skills to support graduate program reviews as well as other enterprise-level financial planning and reporting efforts. The position will also provide support for special projects, business and financial modeling, report development and ad hoc analysis for many audiences including academic leadership, executive management, the Board of Trustees, and other agencies.
Consultative Strategic Business Planning & Analysis:
Develops complex financial models for graduate programs across the University as part of the comprehensive academic review process. Utilizing a data-driven approach, analyzes the financial performance of academic degree programs and provides recommendations for optimal strategic and financial alignment including resource utilization, operational efficiencies, and pricing strategies. Provides exemplary customer service to faculty and staff across campus through financial advising and the development of value-added financial models and business plans. Conducts benchmarking analysis on best practices and pricing. Prepares reports, tools, and other analysis that summarizes the findings and recommendations. 75% - Essential
Financial Modeling, Planning & Analysis:
Coordinates strategic business planning, financial analysis, and other special projects from inception to completion within the scope of subject matter expertise. Keeps Director of Office of Strategy & Analytics, stakeholders, and customers informed through regular communications identifying general project status and roadblocks to success. Collaborates effectively with team members or stakeholders and to develop forecasts based on trends/analyses, prepare recommendations and provide decision support for Office of Strategy and Analytics. 15% - Essential
Reporting & Analytics:
Prepares and/or coordinates the preparation of special financial, economic, and cost studies/analyses as requested by executive management (President, VP's, Deans, Directors, etc.) in direct, ad hoc team and consultative roles. Communicates findings clearly and concisely. Utilizes the University's various information systems and other analytical tools to analyze and interpret HR, student, financial, faculty, staff, and productivity, data and trends. 10% - Essential
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and professional experience directly related, such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial lending.
Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
Overnight Travel - occasional
