Job description

Duties: Individual will work with the Hematologic Malignancies Tissue Bank and Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) research groups. Individual will have primary responsibility for maintenance of the Tissue Bank and AML outcomes data bases. Responsibilities will include obtaining data from patient charts and data entry into tissue banks. Individual will work with biostatisticians to develop basic statistical analysis of data. Individual may be involved as time permits in obtaining consent for tissue banking, transporting patients samples and other responsibilities to facilitate smooth operation of the tissue bank. Individual will interact with researchers from both UPENN and other institutions to provide data. Good communication skills required.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience strongly preferred.

Excellent communication skills required. Database entry experience preferred. Experience with Excel required, experience with other database and analytic software including Filemaker Pro, Stata, SAS or Redcap preferred.
