Duties: This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of Penn's intercollegiate athletics program and for protecting the reputation of the University through compliance with all relevant rules. As the primary compliance officer, this role must enact a strategic approach to monitoring, educating, reviewing and reporting as it relates to NCAA, Ivy/conference, and institutional rules. The Assistant AD for Compliance is responsible for the creation and management of initiatives that promote an institutional and departmental culture of integrity and compliance as it relates to intercollegiate athletics. Responsibilities also include the supervision of compliance staff, assessing compliance risks, review of certification of eligibility, maintenance of rules education plan and reporting of violations. General divisional responsibilities include the coordination of divisional policies and procedures that have a compliance nexus.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's degree in sport administration or related field is preferred plus 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Direct experience with NCAA rules compliance at Division I level is preferred. Experience with NCAA Compliance Assistant software and other recruiting software systems is preferred. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and oral/written communication skills. Must have ability to work evenings and weekends as required. Ability to travel is required. Must have valid driver's license. Must have ability to address questions/concerns after regular working hours and on weekends.
