Candidates at the associate or full professor level are required to have demonstrated sustained extramural grant support, and research, scholarship, and teaching proficiency that meet criteria for tenure and rank at University of Wisconsin-Madison and UW School of Pharmacy.

Candidates at the assistant professor level are expected to demonstrate strong potential for establishing a vigorous, independent and externally funded research program.

Especially desirable are candidates whose research program aligns with academic/health system colleagues whose research is focused on:

Research experience partnering with the public and private sectors who are involved with advancing pharmacy practice and effecting health systems change is also highly desireable.

Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy, Social and Administrative Sciences (SAS) Division invites applications for two 12-month positions at the rank of tenure-track Assistant Professor, or Associate or Full Professor with tenure. Faculty members will join a division whose teaching, research, and service missions are to promote high quality, safe and effective medication use through interdisciplinary patient-centered research and education. Candidates at the associate or full professor level may also be considered for the directorship of the Sonderegger Research Center (SRC). Research conducted by SRC members contributes to improved patient health by addressing the organization and financing of public health and health care, the analysis of public health policy, the quality and promotion of best practices in pharmacy, and the understanding of patient behavior and outcomes.

Additional Information:

Candidates at the associate or full professor level may also be considered for the directorship of the Sonderegger Research Center (SRC), and should state their interest in being the SRC director in their cover letter. It is expected that candidates for the SRC directorship have demonstrated experience and success in NIH/PCORI research funding, running large grants, serving on study sections, interacting with other research centers, and interacting with external stakeholders. This directorship will be a limited appointment that serves at the pleasure of the Dean of School of Pharmacy.
