Under the direction of the Associate Director, Network Services, provides leadership, planning and oversight of service operations and financial control of the Communications Services Department.
Must be able to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
In-depth, advanced understanding of various network hardware platforms, network related protocols and software
Requires the ability to gather, organize, and prioritize work assignments, with limited guidance.
Advanced knowledge of the practices and techniques of the voice and data field and the ability to determine a course of action based on guidelines.
Requires technical knowledge and skills associated with voice and data network systems.
Advanced knowledge of professional communications and network systems in the completion of diverse assignments.
Thorough knowledge and experience working with network management systems.
Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility.
Demonstrated skill in managing technical staff.
Thorough knowledge and experience of Pinnacle Enterprise Management System
Knowledge, understanding and experience of Communication Call Accounting procedure, practices and systems.
Knowledge and experience of management and implementation of Inventory control systems.
Knowledge of Service Now product and ability to collaborate with others to provide oversight of integration with Pinnacle Enterprise System.
Knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with Telecom vendors and Service providers to obtain competitive pricing and quality service.
Knowledge and understanding of data extract practices and report development with PL/SQL.
Skill and ability to make presentations to Senior Management and large audiences.
Knowledge of NPA/NXX information as it pertains to campus PBX and campus Call Accounting System (currently Pinnacle).
Working knowledge and experience with SMDR programming and interface protocol between the campus PBX currently (NEC UMG and campus Call Accounting System currently (Pinnacle).
