Nature of Work:
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Admissions Operations, the position is primarily responsible for communicating and maintaining personalized contact with a unique population of incomplete applicants, counseling them on how to complete their admissions file and helping them overcome various roadblocks to their enrollment. On a semester to semester basis, the position will also be required to independently monitor and analyze follow-up initiatives, paying particularly close attention to incomplete follow-up goals and benchmarks to continually adjust and improve the overarching plan to best meet the needs of prospective applicants and to reach the best yield rates. These improvements could include working with the Assistant Director of Communications and Data Management to assess the need for changes to admission publications and admissions correspondence and proposing admission policy changes to upper management, as required.
A minimum of 1/3 of the position’s time will be spent completing data-entry and maintenance of a population of applicants utilizing the Banner Student Information System and ERecruiter, to include: entering freshman and transfer applications, generating letters, processing and entering freshman and transfer applicant decisions, and calculating freshman and transfer GPAs will be required as part of the effort to enroll students. The role will additionally be responsible for serving students in a face-to-face capacity by being on hand to talk to walk-in prospective students and respond to individual questions via telephone and email.
Other job duties as assigned by the Associate Director/Assistant Director of Admissions Operations are possible.
Bachelor’s degree required. At least two years experience in a customer service position is required. Experience in data entry and keyboarding is required. Experience with providing excellent customer service and handling the various complexities involved in a high volume office setting is preferred. At least one year experience utilizing Banner within a higher education setting is highly preferred. Applicants must be able to multitask in a fast-paced office environment with the ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize important responsibilities.
Salary: $15.87 minimum - $22.38 midpoint
