The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine's Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Associate. This position works in the area of nanomedicine with primary research focus in the development of unique nanomedicine platforms for diseases ranging from cancer to ZIKA. The laboratory also focuses on diseases such as cardiovascular diseases and neurodegenerative diseases. The Postdoctoral Associate will be able to participate in grant writing, mentoring other researchers and providing resources to learn a large number of cutting-edge techniques. The major focus in the laboratory is in learning and we look at research projects as problem solving activity to provide the scientific community with new or unknown knowledge for eventual translation of our technologies to human use.

The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Ph.D. or M.D. Prefer a person with experience in chemical synthesis and biochemistry. Also prefer a person with a strong background in studying nanotherapeutics, small molecules and chemical synthesis. Must be passionate about research, energetic and enthusiastic about laboratory work and flexible in working with multiple projects.
