The Department of Pathology at the University of Virginia seeks faculty candidates with expertise in Clinical Chemistry to participate in the oversight of the UVA Health System Core Laboratory and related laboratory functions, including Chemistry, Immunology, Protein Electrophoresis, Specimen Management, and Referral Lab Services. Candidates should have a strong interest in the development and validation of new assays and technologies, a commitment to laboratory quality, and the education of Clinical Chemistry fellows, Pathology residents, and other medical trainees.

Candidates must have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD, and be board certified and/or eligible by the American Board of Pathology or the American Board of Clinical Chemistry. This appointment will be made at a rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) commensurate with experience. Candidates seeking either a tenure-eligible or tenure-ineligible position will be considered. Candidates should identify if they wish to be considered for a tenure-eligible or tenure-ineligible role in the cover letter.
