Research Fellowship Program:

The Program in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy (STEP) at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs (Michael Oppenheimer, Director) announces its 2015-16 Fellowship Program. STEP will award one-year research positions (with the possibility of renewal for a second year) to eligible, talented researchers. These appointments, at the postdoctoral or more senior research level, are designed to promote basic policy-relevant research under the supervision of one or more STEP faculty members. Note: Not all STEP faculty members may be hiring postdocs this year.

David Wilcove: -- Land-use changes and associated impacts on birds, mammals, and other taxa in Asia or South America; Impact of animal trade on wild populations of birds, reptiles, fish, or mammals in Asia (excluding tigers, elephants, rhinos); identification of threatened mammal or bird migrations in North America (skills in remote sensing an asset); In most cases, studies incorporating field work are preferred.

CLIMATE IMPACTS: Combining diverse methods and lines of evidence to assess the probability of climate change impacts and outcomes. Development of methods for attribution of impacts to anthropogenic climate change. GLACIOLOGIST/ICE-SHEETS, OCEAN MODELLER: to analyze satellite-era observations in comparison with output of ice sheet models to understand critical model deficiencies, working collaboratively with GFDL ice-ocean modeling group. Develop intermediate modeling approaches useful for improving sea level rise projections.

Essential Qualifications
