Summary of Duties:
The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine (ESFCOM) at Washington State University is embarking on the accreditation and development of a next generation medical school designed to train students to be physician leaders, who innovate, adapt and discover in an ever changing healthcare landscape. The School is now inviting applications for the position of Assistant Director, Annual Gifts who will join the Development team in leading the college into the future.

As a member of the Office of Development team in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, you will be responsible for the advancement of development efforts, with an emphasis on identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding leadership, special and annual gifts.

You will administer and implement annual giving programs; develop, oversee, and evaluate assigned area of the campaign; research, visit cultivate, solicit, and thank prospective donors for the annual fund. You will also monitor content and substance of mailings to constituents and analyze past responses; as well as, coordinate staff reunion development committees.

Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, which includes eighteen (18) months of full-time fundraising experience which includes demonstrated success of face-to-face solicitation of gifts of $1000 or more, mass market fundraising, event planning and management, donor stewardship, fund tracking and acknowledgements to donors OR comparable experience and one (1) year of managerial experience. Comparable experience totaling four (4) years of progressively responsible full time experience in sales, marketing, public relations or advancement experience which has involved direct face-to-face contact with clients, customers, prospective customers and members of the public may be substituted for the experience requirements. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience.
