Postdoctoral opportunity in Oral Microbiome Research: Philadelphia, PA, USA
The Oral Microbiome Research Laboratory at Temple University (goo.gl/Tj7so2) is searching for an outstanding postdoctoral fellow to conduct research in the field of Oral Microbiome. Dr. Al-hebshi, the lab’s co-director, areas of interest include: characterizing the core oral microbiome in health; exploring the role of the oral microbiome in disease particularly oral cancer; and development of in vitro models of oral microbiome for high-throughput screening of prebiotics and probiotics. The appointed postdoc will have an opportunity to contribute to the development in addition to the execution of experiments/studies.
The candidate should have a doctorate or equivalent in a related field within the last 3 years and experience in basic microbiological techniques, biofilm models, q-PCR, and preparation of amplicon and shotgun libraries for next generation sequencing; experience in bioinformatic analysis of mircobiome data will be an asset.
