A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available for 2 years, starting July 1, to study host pathogen relationship in Candida albicans infections, with particular emphasis on host iron.

Duties/Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for experiments designed and carried out under the supervision of the PI. Besides, routine lab maintenance along with participation in lab meetings, data analysis, and helping the PI in preparing manuscripts for publication.

Required experience: Basic and advanced microbiology techniques, including MIC, MBC, and time-kill assays, fungal/bacterial cultures, and biofilm assays. Experience in mice handling techniques related to animal models for infection and drug testing. Also, experience in techniques such as real time PCR, Western blotting, immunofluorescence techniques, flow cytometry, and extensive microscopy, including confocal. Experience in working with the yeast C. albicans and bioinformatics will be considered an asset.

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in life science with 0-2 years of postdoctoral experience with practical knowledge of the techniques listed above.
