Research Assistant Professor
The Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology is seeking qualified applicants for the Research Assistant Professor position to develop an independent research program on the changes in retinal gene expression during disease using mouse models and human cells.Develop an independent research program on the changes in retinal gene expression during disease using mouse models and human cells.
Some of the job duites will be
- Develop an independent research program testing drug and gene therapies in animal models of retinal disease.
- Train graduate and undergraduate students in the conduct and communication of research.
- Present research findings at international meetings and in peer reviewed publications.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Ph.D. in biology, genetics or molecular biology plus three years or more of postdoctoral research experience. Familiarity with animal models of retinal disease.
1.Demonstrated ability to obtain grant support.
2. First author publications in the relevant research area.
