Postdoctoral Research Associate

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is seeking an experimental postdoctoral researcher or more senior to work on development, implementation and physics studies of a real-time Thomson Scattering system for fusion energy applications. The successful candidate will work on NSTX-U at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. The tasks will include hands on work with the Thomson system, software development, experiment planning and analysis. The successful candidate will be based in Princeton and is expected to travel nationally and internationally to interact with other leading experiments addressing similar issues and conduct joint experiments.
This is a one year term position renewable contingent upon available funding and satisfactory performance. This position is subject to the University's background check policy.
Candidates should be available to begin no later than September, 2016.
