Position Information: The Director of Marketing & Promotions is responsible for raising awareness of, and driving attendance to, UC Riverside athletics events through creative marketing initiatives and collaboration with a variety of on-campus entities; providing attendees at athletics events with a first-rate, in-game experience; and creating or overseeing the creation of items designed to promote events and celebrate our successes.

Minimum Requirements: Strong skills in event and media activities management.
Thorough knowledge of marketing mediums and funding sources.
Thorough, strong project management skills.
Thorough knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.
Skill in mentoring less experienced staff.
Thorough analytical and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal communication and political acumen skills.
Thorough knowledge of the campus and/or medical center, including its achievements, mission, vision, goals, objectives and infrastructure.
Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding interpersonal and public relations skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse community and wide range of constituencies, including the corporate community and institutional marketing personnel.
Proficient in computer programs related to managing marketing functions and creating presentations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and photoshop.

Preferred Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of the campus and/or medical center products and services.
