Duties: The Director is responsible for overseeing the staff, operations, and strategic planning of a national network of integrated data systems (IDS) that aim to foster more efficient government through interagency policy analysis and program evaluation. The Director position will be informed by his/her interest in using IDS to generate actionable intelligence for social policy.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. A graduate degree, ideally in a social policy or related area, with at least 3-5 years of experience, is strongly preferred.
The Director should have proven experience in aspects of social policy formulation, implementation, and applied research/evaluation and demonstrated leadership and management skills. Specifically, the Director will have:
An understanding of social science methodology
Ability to maintain the 'big picture' for the duties above
Experience developing and operationalizing successful and financially sustainable research initiatives
Experience creating effective collaborations among diverse groups of people
Ability to delegate tasks and distribute leadership effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
