Position Description

Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by establishing procedures, monitoring process input and output capabilities, and leading continuous improvement activities. Verifies preform, bottle and label requirements are met in a safe, accurate, and timely manner to ensure reduction of produced defective product and defect-free product shipments. Directs and coordinates activities related to customer complaints, SPC, and Continuous Improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive a culture of process control and variability reduction at the manufacturing locations.
  • Assist in the implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) utilizing SAP across the company.
  • Work with the plants to determine the key variables to track and monitor on Injection and Blow-Molding machines.
  • Develop and reinforce standardized program for maintenance of automated inspection system.
  • Work with the Iconics group to facilitate automatic tracking of process parameters.
  • Lead Process Improvement teams using Lean Sigma principles to minimize quality claims and internal rejects.
  • Administer and coordinate SPC and Problem Solving Tools training in plants and at the General Offices.
  • Responsible for publishing process capability summary report and work with plants and Corporate Quality analysts to drive capabilities to be >1.0 for key attributes.
  • Assists in interpreting SPC data to improve and understand production processes to increase quality and efficiency.
  • Review training systems for SPC and drive program for effective implementation at all plants.
  • Develop training and plans for process control strategy rollout at the plants.
  • Develops inspection and sampling procedures to assure control of quality at the most economical costs.
Qualifications:
  • Four year Statistics or Engineering degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing Lean Sigma tools.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • Must be proactive and take initiative.
  • Must have clear, concise communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Must have high attention to detail and accuracy.
