Duties: Assist in the study of viral infection and immunity in both mammalian and insect cells. Duties will include viral infections of cells and molecular studies of these interactions. In addition, the research specialist will be expected to become proficient in biochemistry, microscopy and other standard molecular biology assays. Duties also include data analysis and figure production. Dr. Cherry's laboratory is in academic setting at the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in biology or related field and 1-3 years of prior laboratory experience along with virology experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. In addition to a sound, practical understanding of genetic, biochemical, and/or molecular biology approaches the optimal candidate would also display an eagerness to work as part of a team and to provide both intellectual and technical input of their own projects.
