The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applications for a position in the Marketing Area, beginning August 2015. The appointment will be for a full-time, tenure-track position at any rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor). To be considered applicants must have a Ph.D. in marketing (or a related field) or in the case of doctoral students expect to complete their degree or be very near completion by the start date.
In addition to a PhD, successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to publish in the field's top journals (e.g. Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, and Marketing Science) as well as perform at a very high level in the classroom. Additional expectations for service are commensurate with rank.
Although the Marketing Area welcomes applicants of any specialty, candidates with a stong background in analytics, and who would be in a position to immediately contribute to the School's analytics programs are particularly attractive.
