The Department of Cell Biology at the University of Virginia seeks a Research Associate in a field of developmental biology, specifically mammalian inner ear development, to join a group investigating the differentiation of inner ear sensory hair cells.
Applicants must have an MD and/or PhD in a biomedical science in hand by the start date and should be proficient with the following techniques: cell culture including mouse embryonic stem cells, mouse husbandry, embryo harvest and manipulation, cryomicrotomy, immunocytochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, molecular cloning and protein biochemistry.
