About The Unit: The Section of Dermatology at The University of Chicago has a long and distinguished history. It is my pleasure and pride to direct it, building upon the sturdy foundation already in place and developing new areas of medical excellence. Our group comprises ten full-time dermatologists, three part-time dermatologists, and one full-time research faculty with expertise in dermatopathology, dermatologic surgery, including Mohs surgery, lymphoma, pediatric dermatology, pigmented lesions and melanoma, wound care and general dermatology. In addition, the Section has long-established training programs in dermatology (10 residents) and dermatopathology (2 fellows), where we take great pride in producing the future clinicians, researchers and educators in the field. Unit Job Summary: The Education Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all education programs within the Section of Dermatology. Coordinate and manage program activities, events, finances, quality improvement projects and provide cross coverage of Faculty affairs. Office management as needed.

Unit Education: Bachelor's degree plus one year of progressively responsible administrative experience or five years of progressively responsible administrative experience required.

Unit Experience: University or Academic Medicine experience preferred. Excellent writing, problem-solving/analytical, editing, and verbal communication skills required. Under general supervision, ability to prioritize, organize, and assess work in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment required. Ability to work well in a team environment and successfully interacting with others at all levels of the organization required. Highly competent on a PC platform using a wide range of software, including but not limited to word processing, scheduling, spreadsheets, graphics, and e-mail required. Experience with Buysite, Epic, Eras, GEMS, MedHub, Oracle, preferred. Experience within an Academic or Medical environment preferred.
