About The Unit: POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Associate Dean of Student Recruitment & Global Outreach, the Associate Director is responsible for cultivating a pool of prospective students for Chicago Harris executive education programs. The Associate Director will be responsible for developing and implementing an approach to engage and nurture prospects in such a manner to reach our enrollment targets. The Associate Director will help increase the number and quality of interactions with prospective students in order to convert qualified prospective students into applicants. This position will leverage her/his experience leading the prospect and student experience for executive education. The role will be instrumental in developing and leading the outreach efforts for new program collaborating with faculty and other key Harris leaders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Student Recruitment and Global Outreach in developing and implementing executive education, with attention to performance and effectiveness of programs and maintenance of partner relations - Assist in developing and implementing the strategic plan for an Executive Education programs - Participate in establishing program objectives, long-term goals, policies and procedures - Provide input to the Program Director of Recruitment Marketing and Strategic Initiatives, offering support and feedback on key marketing efforts as needed - Facilitate relationships fostered by the Associate Dean (with business, government, and nonprofit leaders in the community) - Identify educational needs of the various sectors and external organizations that would supply students - Work with the Advisory Board to ensure success of the Executive Education program and alignment with key internal stakeholders and overseers of the program Influence and secure support of Harris stakeholders in proposed partnerships and collaborative efforts - Execute marketing and outreach efforts to enhance existing partnerships and cultivate new relationships - Create communications and execute logistics in support of new or continuing international partnerships - Develop proposals, respond to requests, and write grants to progress international partnerships - Follow up with external and internal stakeholders on a continual basis, as appropriate, to ensure plans move forward, momentum builds, and programmatic timelines are met - Partner with individuals and units across the Harris School and the University to ensure optimal chances of a successful partnership through shared information and resources - Ensure alignment of approach, priorities and messaging amongst University stakeholders - Identify potential issues in partnerships and propose solutions to Student Recruitment and Global Outreach in a timely manner in order to ensure the Harris School retains a positive reputation as a partner institution

Unit Job Summary: - Manage and lead new program development and outreach activities for current and new programs - Develop outreach and development activities for new degree programs and executive education - Develop relationships with and advise prospective students via phone, email and in-person meetings - Continually improve processes associated with these activities to enhance prospective student satisfaction - Present at information sessions and other events - Collaborate with the digital marketing partners; execute and curate social media outreach - Recruit qualified prospects into the applicant pool through Harris hosted events including, but not limited to, information sessions, lunch and learns and receptions across the country - Facilitate personal connections between students, alumni and prospective students - Track outreach and interactions in Slate, our prospect management system - Facilitate personal connections between students, alumni and prospective students - Create partnerships with organizations to increase scholarships and financial aid - Collaborate with other teams at Harris to communicate goals and objectives of degree and executive education programs to increase revenue target - Review applications and interview candidates as needed. Formulate recommendations on suitability of applicants. - Guide and manage the day-to-day administrative processes of Executive Education programming - Oversee and manage budget - Establish and maintain relationships with all Harris School organizations and individuals involved in the marketing and prospect outreach - Collaborate with other Harris department colleagues to explore and execute programming synergies

Unit Education: Bachelor's Degree is required Master's Degree strongly preferred in public policy or a social science discipline

Unit Experience: - Minimum of 3-5 years of managing executive education or similar programming and working with prospective students - Strong familiarity with Slate (Technosolutions) and its current assets and strategies preferred - Salesforce experience preferred - Proven track-record of creating high-volume application and lead generation growth at large scale institutions preferably in university recruitment or sales required - Familiarity with higher education environment and knowledge of the University of Chicago's unique culture preferred
