4. Record of excellence in scholarly research and potential for continued future academic productivity.
5. Excellence in teaching as demonstrated by teaching statement and/or sample course syllabi.

Position Summary:

Comparative/International Education-Assistant Professor. The Department of Educational Policy Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is hiring an Assistant Professor of Comparative/International Education. Position begins August 25, 2018. Ed.D. or Ph.D. in Education or related field required. Successful applicants will have expertise in comparative/international education with regional expertise in Latin America and topical expertise in education in conflict and/or emergencies; a record of excellence in scholarly research and potential for continued future academic productivity; at least one year of full-time university-level teaching experience at the time of appointment; demonstrated excellence in teaching as indicated by a teaching statement and sample course syllabi; and a commitment to working with diverse student populations. Required duties include developing graduate and undergraduate courses in comparative/international education and topics related to the applicant's substantive research expertise; teaching graduate and undergraduate students; supervising M.A. and Ph.D. candidates in Educational Policy Studies; advising B.S. candidates in Education Studies; conducting original research and publishing scholarly articles; participating in committees associated with departmental, School of Education, and university service; and maintaining active engagement in local, national, international, and professional service.
