Rowan University is a public comprehensive state-designated research institution with approximately 17,300 students. The Department of Political Science and Economics and the American Studies Program at Rowan University is jointly seeking an Americanist, with an interdisciplinary research focus preferred, for a one-year position for 2016-2017 academic year. Teaching duties will include three courses per semester: four Political Science courses and two for the American Studies program. The specific courses include Introduction to American Government, Interdisciplinary Research and Writing, and either Race, Poverty in the US or Black American Politics determined by his/her area of research. Other responsibilities include regular departmental service and contributing to the department’s Race, Class and Gender specialization.


Requirements:

A Master’s degree in Political Science or related field required; Ph.D. preferred.
