Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a Director, Career and Technical Education-Career and College Promise. The role of the Director is to actively plan, implement and assess activities, initiatives and programs related to the recruitment and retention of potential high school students to Rowan Cabarrus Community College. The Director works in active partnership with Kannapolis, Cabarrus and Rowan County School Administration, as well as closely with the designated Early College High School Principals, and counselors and administrators involved with all innovative high school programs, such as Early College and Career and College Promise, in order to positively promote the college's enrollment, recruitment, and retention, as well as marketing strategies and initiatives.Bachelor's Degree in counseling, recruiting, or related field, and two (2) years of related human resources and/or human services experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Desired Preferred Education/Experience/Skills: - Masters Degree - at least 1 year Career and Technical Education and/or Career and College Promise experience from an advising / implementation perspective. Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: high school and community college mission, programs and practices; school partnership models; project management; basic statistical computations; standard office practices, procedures and equipment; a variety of computer applications. Ability to: represent the department and the college to a wide range of constituencies; coordinate course development activities; learn and maintain updated knowledge of policies, procedures and current practices and trends in the area of Career and College Promise; work independently while recognizing situations that require the supervisor's attention; maintain confidentiality; communicate effectively orally and in writing; establish cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties. This position will require frequent travel within Rowan and Cabarrus counties.
