The Division of Thoracic Surgery in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery of the WVU School of Medicine, and the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute is actively recruiting a board certified/eligible General Thoracic Surgeon. The candidate must be comfortable in performing minimally invasive surgery for lung and esophageal conditions and trained in thoracic oncology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will be actively involved in the teaching and research.

While this position will be primarily based in Morgantown, the division of thoracic surgery operates several satellite clinics whereby all section faculty have the opportunity to participate at the discretion of the department.

Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license at the time of employment.  Candidates must be graduates of an approved cardiothoracic surgery residency at the time of employment.
