Clark University’s University Advancement (UA) Department seeks to fill the position of Manager of Advancement Reporting, one of three on the University Advancement Services (UAS) team. Reporting to the Director of Advancement Services/University Advancement, the successful candidate is primarily responsible for extracting data from Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge (RE) to build reports and data models for the University Advancement (UA) department. Working in a fast-paced, challenging environment, the Manager will have responsibility for using Crystal Reports, Raiser’s Edge, and other tools to update existing reports or produce new reports, as needed, in support of Clark’s current $125 Million campaign; to provide data files for mailing and other activities, in collaboration with UA colleagues; and to support other UA projects, as necessary. Duties and Responsibilities Included in a range of responsibilities, the Manager of Advancement Reporting will work collaboratively with the Director of Advancement Services and UA colleagues to develop new Crystal Reports to support decision-making and strategic needs of UA. The Manager will execute daily, weekly, and monthly report portfolios, maintain and troubleshoot existing Crystal Reports, and Provide data files for UAS clients using appropriate tools (Crystal Reports, Excel or MS Access). In addition, the Manager will take lead on strategic data clean-up projects, including developing project plan & timetable, determining staff resources needed, supervise ongoing work, and reporting on progress and outcomes. The Manager will prepare documentation of procedures and reports, share responsibility as Raiser’s Edge de facto Help Desk for UA team, train and support other members of the team or staff as needed, as well as other duties as assigned. Qualifications The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ experience in development or related setting, strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have flexibility and high tolerance for change, and a proven track record for working well independently and as part of a team. In addition, the candidate will have the ability to self-motivate and multi-task as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and use utmost discretion. Technical qualifications include a strong knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and Crystal Reports. Experience with Blackbaud Net Community (BBNC), MS Access and SQL preferred.
