Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

IFC Specific Support – 65%

Supervises and executes IFC council leadership development functions including planning, implementation, and evaluation; Supervises and advises IFC council activities/programs; Supervises, advises, facilitates and executes with the IFC Executive Board the planning and production IFC Formal and Informal Recruitment; Develops programmatic and marketing efforts which promote involvement and service through these programs; Responsible for the creation, implementation, and tracking of the IFC budget; Serves as a liaison between (inter)national fraternity/sorority general headquarter offices and national, regional and local volunteers, and the University; Serves as the liaison and supporter for the chapter officers, members and advisors of the 20 IFC organizations consistent with institutional and fraternal policies; Creates and implements training programs which educate students, advisors and alumni about policies pertaining to national organizations as well as the University; Enforces chapter/council compliance with University policies related to risk management, recruitment and retention, accountability boards and chapter operations; Assists with investigations of alleged misconduct by organizations.

Organization Support – 25%

Serves as an advisor for the Greek Board of Directors and related events as directed by the Associate Dean/Director of Greek Life; Serves as a member of the management team for the Greek Board of Directors; Supervises the Greek Board of Director Fundraising Committee consisting of a director, assistant director and 10 committee members who execute all activities. 

Department/Office Support – 10%

Advances the goals of the Office of the Dean of Students, Student Affairs and the University; Participates in the Greek Accountability meetings with Student Advocacy and Accountability, Greek Life and respective fraternities/sororities; Assists in the feedback for the development of leadership resources available through Greek Life; Researches best practices/new ways of implementing programs/activities within Greek Life; Develops and implements assessment and evaluation plans for programs offered through Greek Life.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

Master’s Degree in higher education administration, college student development, college student personnel administration, or a closely related field and relevant leadership/advising experiences;  A minimum of 1 year of professional related work experience;  Demonstrated skill strength in the following areas: verbal and written communication; interpersonal relations; advising students and their organizations and committees; facilitating leadership development; program development; event planning; and interacting effectively with a diverse constituency of students, staff, faculty, and administrators; Possesses basic computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related programs; Proven presentation and facilitation skills; Well-organized and able to multi-task as needed and possess superior organizational skills.
