Assistant Professor of Health and Human Performance
Ferrum College is currently seeking to appoint a faculty in the Human Performance (HHP) program in Exercise Science at the assistant professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to have a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology/Kinesiology or related field, with expertise and/or experience in exercise physiology and kinesiology/biomechanics. A demonstrated record of college teaching experience is desirable.
Responsibilities: TEACHING: Courses in exercise physiology, health related fitness, kinesiology as well as other core courses in the HHP curriculum. Advising students and supervising internships.
SCHOLARSHIP: Provide evidence of scholarship, publication, and/or presentation activity through appropriate professional venues and involvement in scholarly projects with faculty and students.
SERVICE: Participate in College, School, Program, and disciplinary leadership.
