Duties: To coordinate and process payroll for Department of Medicine (DOM) entity Administration Faculty and Staff for both weekly and monthly and at least one Division, ensuring accuracy of payroll payments across the Department on a monthly basis. Provide backup payroll support for staff in the 'Shared ORG's' of Renal, Rheumatology, TMHG, and Infectious Disease. Provide analytic and auditing support for payroll and financial processes across Department. Act as a lead to other DOM divisional payroll coordinators
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Strong financial and accounting management skills. Familiarity with University budget and administration procedures desired. Excellent interpersonal and communications (written and oral) skills. Sound judgment, resourceful nature, and diplomacy. The position requires flexibility, strong problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, under pressure of deadlines, to be flexible and contribute positively to a dynamic business environment. Strong skills in spreadsheet, database and word processing software preferred. Experience in BEN Financials, UMIS and Business Objects extremely helpful. Ability to work under tight deadlines.
