Job Summary Provide age appropriate, time limited, crisis intervention as well as acute, chronic (within the CAPS scope of service), and preventive psychiatric care to students and eligible members of the University community. Provide initial evaluation for psychopharmacological interventions based on the presenting concern, clinical interview, subjective questionnaires, and consultation with counseling staff. Synthesize objective and subjective data to formulate a conceptualization of the client's diagnoses, primary problem, and basic plan for medication management or other recommended intervention. Make internal and external referrals as indicated following practice guidelines and CAPS scope of service. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; possession of a license as a Registered Professional Nurse issued by the State of Georgia; certification as a Nurse Practitioner as recognized by the Georgia Board of Nursing; and a minimum of two to three years experience as a nurse practitioner (experience in college health medicine, preferred). Completion of a Masters degree level nurse practitioner program or equivalent experience.
