Unit Job Summary: Core Field Consultant: Ensures quality field practicum experiences for approximately 27 SSA students by facilitating effective communication between the field instructor, SSA student, and SSA Office of Field Education. Teaches a field seminar to a cohort of students and serving as liaison between students, SSA, and field instructors. Promotes the integration of coursework and field experiences, providing students with opportunities to learn and practice beginning social work skills.

Unit Education: Master's degree in Social Work required. Licensure as LCSW required.

Unit Experience: A minimum of five years of post-master's degree direct service experience required. Field instruction or supervisory experience preferred.

Unit Job Function Competencies: Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills required. Ability to guide students and field instructors in creating learning experiences related to the development of advanced social work competencies required. Strong organizational skills required. Ability to travel various locations off campus required. Familiarity with theoretical concepts underpinning social work practice required.
