Position Summary

SENIC Program Associate
Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN)'s Southeastern Nanotechnology Infrastructure Corridor (SENIC) program seeks a talented individual to join our team as a SENIC Program Associate. The SENIC program associate will assist the SENIC administration in planning, implementing and coordinating business activities of the SENIC to ensure effective and efficient functioning of the program. The SENIC program associate will ensure that goals, objectives, outcomes and deliverables are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. This position is grant funded by the NSF-NNCI program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing support to the SENIC administration, web and education & outreach coordination; developing program-related marketing and publicity materials; initiating, coordinating and communicating to current and potential JSNN/SENIC users through physical and social media; planning and organizing SENIC-related meetings and other activities; collecting and analyzing user data; assisting in preparation of SENIC minutes, reports and presentations; interfacing with JSNN/UNCG/NCA&T offices, Gateway University Research Park (GURP) and our collaborator partner, Georgia Tech Institute of Electronics and Nanotechnology (IEN) and other duties as required by the SENIC Director and Deputy Director. The
Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN) is an academic collaboration of North Carolina A&T State University (NCA&T) and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. JSNN offers state-of-the-art nanotechnology research capabilities with open-use labs, tools, instrumentation and a dedicated staff. JSNN currently operates 12 key laboratories including: Nanoelectronics and Nanobioelectronics Cleanrooms (7000 square feet, Class 100-10,000 bays), Nanofabrication Facility (hard and soft particle synthesis, characterization, and scale-up), Self-assembly, Characterization and Imaging Suite, including charged-particle microscopes, Analytical lab, Nanobiology, Nanochemistry, BSL-3, Biomass energy, Hydroponics and High Performance Computing and Visualization Facility. The Southeastern Nanotechnology Infrastructure Corridor (SENIC) is one of 16 sites in the National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI), the successor to the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN). The NNCI is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in science, engineering, technology, social science, education or related field with excellent writing, communication and organization skills.
Advanced Skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint (or similar software).
Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
