Job Summary/Basic Function:
The candidate will teach four courses a semester (4/4) and serve in the Department of Technical Communication. Potential courses will include upper-division undergraduate courses for technical communication majors. The position will be hired on a renewable contract to begin in fall of 2017.

The Department of Technical Communication at the University of North Texas is one of only a handful of stand-alone departments of technical communication in the country. Our department has an active advisory board filled with industry professionals, and our courses focus on client projects that provide students with industry experience. In eight years, with ongoing investments from the university and college, our program and profile has grown significantly. The lecturer joining our department will have the opportunity to guide our client outreach and help our department gain recognition in the DFW area.

Minimum Qualifications:
Industry experience as a technical communicator.

Master's degree with a concentration or specialization in technical communication or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching technical communication, preferably in face-to-face and higher education settings
