Position Information
The Social Neuroscience Lab at the University of California Riverside is seeking a full-time lab manager to join us in the Summer or Fall 2017.

The lab uses brain imaging and behavioral methods to examine biased social cognition and decision making processes, such as motivated perception, optimism and asymmetries in social learning, illusory control, self-enhancement, intergroup cognition, prosociality and social reward. We then link these processes with real world consequences across health, well being, risky behaviors, and clinical outcomes. Applicants can learn more about our work at https://www.hugheslab.org/.

The position is ideal for motivated individuals looking to develop as researchers before applying to graduate programs in psychology, neuroscience or related fields.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Math, or related fields
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Demonstrated background and passion for research experience in psychology or neuroscience
Undergraduate level statistics course and experience with statistical analysis packages (e.g. Matlab, SPSS, R, Excel, etc.)
Some exposure to one or more programming language (e.g. Matlab, Python, Javascript, shell scripting, etc.)


Preferred Qualifications
Experience conducting independent research in psychology or neuroscience
Experience analyzing neuroimaging data (e.g. SPM, FSL, AFNI, or similar platforms)
Strong computer programming skills
