Associate Director of 25th Reunion Programs
Full-time, year round full-time position, salary commensurate with experience.
The Associate Director of 25th Reunion Programs manages all alumni engagement and programming activities for the 20th - 40th reunion classes, including program development for the 25th Reunion cycle, and manages the planning and execution of the Volunteer Summit. Advances the mission of Alumni and Parent Programs, building community and creating connections among Amherst College alumni, with one another and with the College. Takes appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce and participates in the College's efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.
25th Reunion Programs
- Oversee activities and events relating to the 25th Reunion Program (which includes volunteer management and cultivation in the 20th and 30th reunion cycles)
- Plan and implement programs related to the 25th Reunion including regional class events and the 25th Reunion book as well as recruiting, training and managing class volunteers
- Collaborate with the Director of 25th Reunion Giving to assure the highest level of class giving and participation
Alumni Class Liaison
- Serve as the key class contact for all alumni in the 20th through 40th reunions
- Oversee class-sponsored events, including Reunion, Homecoming, mini-reunions, and regional class events
- Manage class accounts
- Manage volunteer/class officer relationships with the College
- Solicit and proof class notes for each class four times per year
- Collaborate and coordinate with colleagues across Advancement (and the College) to ensure smooth and full communication around events, initiatives, and individuals
- Coordinate Advancement Volunteer Summit planning committee
- Schedule programs and manage logistics together with support team
- Coordinate with campus offices and resources
- Contract with vendors

- Bachelor's degree
- 2-3 years of related experience including event planning and volunteer management
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service, motivational, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and collaboratively
- Attention to detail
- Initiative and imagination for innovation
- Demonstrated management, leadership and supervisory skills
- Occasional weekend and evening hours required to staff on-campus events
- Very occasional travel for conferences and regional programs support
- Higher Education and/or non-profit experience
