Gettysburg College is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer.  This is a full-time, 10-month (January through November) administrative position.  It reports to the Athletics Director through the Head Athletic Trainer.  The assistant athletic trainer will assist the athletic training staff in providing a safe and healthy environment for our student-athletes to compete and our summer camp offerings. The successful candidate will assist in providing emergency care, initial treatment, follow-up care, rehabilitation and successful return to competition. It is expected that he/she would be able to perform all athletic training skills and be a proactive, contributing member of a successful, highly respected athletic training team. This position involves working weekends, evenings, some holidays and some travel.

Gettysburg College sponsors 24 varsity sports, with over 500 student-athletes competing in Division III of the NCAA and sponsors over 20 sports camps during the summer months.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree, preferred) with two years experience as an NATABOC, Certified Athletic Trainer. The candidate must be BOC certified and licensed or eligible to hold a license by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Instructor rating in CPR and First Aid would be beneficial. The successful candidate will organize experiences in health-related issues that would benefit our student-athletes, coaches and summer campers.
