At Stony Brook Medicine, a Lead Programmer Analyst is a valuable member of our IT Interface Group, and will provide maintenance and support of all production interfaces on the interface engine. Candidate will also be involved in analyzing, developing and testing of new interfaces. Multitasking skills are a must. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior communication and organizational skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence.
Duties of a Lead Programmer Analyst in the IT Interface Group may include the following but are not limited to:
A.A.S. degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent Information Systems Certificate.
3 years application programming experience.
Strong background in designing, developing, testing and implementing a full project life cycle.
Ability to learn quickly and multitask in a fast paced work environment.
Proficient in MS Office products.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve interface and technical issues.
Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
1 year experience in a healthcare/hospital environment.
1 year developing HL7 interfaces.
Experience with Orion Rhapsody.
Experience with UNIX operating system and proficiency in shell scripting.
Experience with Cerner Millennium.
Familiar with Cerner (formerly Siemens) OpenLink.
