Adjunct Assistant Professor - Health Information Systems
Teach various sections of Health Care Information Systems (HCIS prefix) courses as part of the Health Information Systems (HIS) program.

• Prepare and teach course materials aligned with program course outlines and incorporate current health IT industry content into a relevant educational learning experience.
• Learn current learning management system and various educational technology for course delivery of assigned HCIS courses in online or hybrid (classroom + online) format.
• Follow adjunct responsibility for grading, attendance, evaluation/assessments, communication to student and faculty, and attend required faculty meetings/trainings.
Bachelor degree in technology, healthcare, business or area related to health information systems.
Experience in health Information systems/technology.
High proficiency in office and communication technology.
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to respond to student needs and operational requests in a customer-friendly time frame and manner.
Ability to work with and contribute to a team environment.
Self-motivated to accomplish tasks and complete deadlines.
Comfortable adopting new technologies and a desire to create/deliver effective online content.
Understands the importance to adapt to the changing landscape of higher education.
Comfortable collaborating with faculty and students from other disciplines as well as with industry and community partners.
Prefer experience with health IT medical records.
Prefer experience working in a healthcare industry related setting.
Prefer experience with learning management system(s).

This is a part-time temporary (adjunct) position and may include work assignments for 1-2 classes per semester. Please submit a resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcripts. Candidates will prepare a 3-5 minute presentation to demonstrate knowledge and teaching ability in the HIS field.
