The Department of English at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, anticipates a limited number of full-time non-tenure-track Lecturer positions to teach introductory college rhetoric and composition, business and technical writing, and/or creative writing courses during the 2017-2018 academic year. These positions are one-year appointments; renewal of the position is possible and contingent on availability of funding, strong enrollments, and strong performance reviews.

All candidates are required to have a PhD degree in English (or other relevant field) or an MFA in Creative Writing, plus a minimum of two years' teaching experience at the college level. Evidence of teaching excellence is preferred.

Start date is 8/16/17. Salary is highly competitive with similar positions at other institutions. Standard load for full-time Lecturers is three classes per semester.
