Job description

Duties: Administrative Assistant needed to serve behavioral health patients in the new Stephen A. Cohen Military Family Clinic located in the Department of Psychiatry. Under general supervision by the Office Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for all front desk activities related to the clinic including receiving and scheduling patients/clients, scanning, faxing, entering measures, maintaining transportation options for clients,; creating insurance claims and assisting with verification, posting patients payments and reconciling daily cash. Telephone support including triage of calls, reminder calls, call-backs and maintaining accurate documentation within the Medical Record System of all Client contact and activities related to scheduling. Assist and back-up the Intake Coordinator as necessary.

Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED and 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must pass Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment. EPIC training is preferred. Knowledge of military culture and behavioral health are preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must. Detailed and analytically driven individual a plus.
