Duties: A key part of this position is to be a member of the academic crisis management team (CaseNet) that coordinates services and programs for students in academic or personal difficulty including providing support and referrals, and assistance with communications. In addition, meet with and advise students on walk-in basis or by appointment. Provide advice, clarification and interpretation of the rules, regulations and procedures of the College and other University divisions to students, parents, faculty members, and to external constituencies. Also involved, as assigned, in the activities of one or more of the advising working groups. Responsible for working with complex administrative applications and processes involving web applications, desktop databases (FileMaker Pro), and Excel.

The main duties for this position include:
*Provide support and referrals to students experiencing academic or personal difficulties, including students who are considering taking a leave or withdrawing from the University
*Provide outreach and data management for at risk students as a member of the academic crisis management team. Support the members of the CaseNet team in documenting key interactions and establishing and maintaining appropriate records and data
*Support for CaseNet's data analysis projects such as CPN reporting, as well as organizing meetings, conferences and special events with partner offices which are part of the College's programming for at-risk populations
*Assist with the coordination of the advising, record keeping and documentation that are part of a student's movement through the processes of going on leave and returning from leave. Duties include assisting in the research and analysis of student histories and records and coordination of data from several advising databases.
*Assist in the management of the advising education programs
*Coordinate various advising communications; Handle inquiries from academic advisors and send out information on registration or new programs. Develop and maintain advising listeservs. Participate in the orientations and other meetings of premajor advisors.
*Support senior staff in implementing College-wide assessment initiatives

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.

Understanding of curriculum.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines required.

Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team and collaborate on projects required.

Substantive experience working with complex web applications, enterprise-level FileMaker Pro solutions, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, calendaring, email, and web browsers. Eagerness to grow technology skill set and a passion for new projects and challenges.
