Job Description
The director of the visitor center plans and directs all aspects of a comprehensive visitor experience program, to include the administration of the USC Visitor Center, the campus visit program for prospective undergraduate, transfer, and graduate students, the University Ambassador program (official campus tour guides), the Presidential Ambassador Program, online visitor experiences, and a variety of special visit programs, most especially those that directly support the recruitment events hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The director assists in the planning and execution of the University's enrollment management objectives. The director reports to the Associate Vice-President for Enrollment Management in the Division of Student Affairs & Academic Support and serves on the Enrollment Management Leadership team. The Director ensures an outstanding visit experience in support of the university's enrollment objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Student Personnel Services or related field and 3 years experience in student services program area.

Experience working with both high school and college students and parents desired. Familiarity with University programs required. Knowledge of principles and theories of student development, peer leadership, enrollment management, admissions, and educational administration, including fiscal management, budget development, HR and staff development and program assessment required. Experience in fund raising a plus. Knowledge of the field of collegiate information and visitor services a plus, especially at a large comprehensive university. Proven ability to supervisor, motivate, evaluate, and coach professional and student staff toward organizational goals essential. Ability to provide supportive counseling for a wide range of student problems and concerns. Ability to interpret regulations important as is the ability to anticipate and develop programs/policies. Experience with data systems, CRM, reservation systems, and web tools preferred. Must be able to evaluate, assess, and improve programs as part of strategic planning process.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree required in higher education or marketing with at least 5 - 7 years of relevant experience.
