Postdoctoral Researcher, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, College of Engineering & Computer Science – requisition # 17000000LP
The postdoctoral researcher will perform research on cellular aging supported by an NSF grant. The researcher is responsible for conducting quantitative research on gene networks and cellular aging, designing and developing quantitative methods for analyzing data and interpreting results. Reporting to the principle investigator (PI), this position will develop new quantitative models on cellular aging that can guide experimental studies on aging and offer new insights on experimental results. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to assist graduate and undergraduate students with their research projects. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to communicate research progress regularly and present findings in meetings.
Ph. D. in computational biology or equivalent field is required. Candidate must have strong publication records, effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to work in a research team. Candidate must be proficient in R, MATLAB or PYTHON, and familiar with LINUX.
