Job Description

This Quality Assurance Manager position is in a medium sized manufacturing facility. This position is full time, salaried and days. The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for providing overall leadership in all quality related issues and matters in the plant.

Minimum of Associates Degree; Bachelors Degree in a science or engineering related field is highly preferred. Equivalent Experience is fine and will be acceptanced through the interview process. Experience in Labs and/or Quality and facilitating continuous system improvements is a must.

Primary responsiblities are:

-Works with Production, Maintenance, and Logistics departments to train personnel in proper GMP's, plant policies, procedures and periodic training.
-Conducts periodic Quality Control production line checks; internal audits of the plant in accordance with FDA guidelines.
-Orders various materials in support of maintaining a proper laboratory.
-Performs some (supervises 5 technicians that do testing as well) laboratory testing as required by company as well as industry guidelines to include but not limited to coordinating / conducting weekly, monthly and yearly testing in conjunction with outside testing laboratories
-Maintains Plant Quality Assurance / Control records and logs in an orderly and timely manner to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for reporting and audits.

-Writes and maintains standard operational procedures (SOP's) for plant facility

-Maintains budgets and does ordering for department
