Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Machine Design
Candidates should have five years minimum experience and proven track record in the design and manufacture of industrial machinery. Mechanical engineering degree BSME and/or equivalent technical experience is required. Successful candidate must be able to utilize sound engineering principles coupled with a creative approach to produce working machine designs, machining details and fabrication drawings for our manufacturing shop. Candidates should be expert in Solidworks and AutoCAD for design and detail drawings. Familiarity with hydraulic power systems, mechanical drives and pneumatic systems is a plus.
We are a vertically integrated company that manufactures, integrates and tests in our shop all of the systems you will be involved in, so you will have "hands on" interaction with every project. Responsibilities for the Sr. Mechanical Engineer include:
Machine Design: Combine all customer design specifications with engineering principals and industrial standards to engineer and create machining details, fabrication drawings and BOM for our Hydraulic Press Systems and peripheral equipment.
Design Software: Accudyne utilizes Solidworks and Autocad for our machine design and component detailing, proficiency with these packages is mandatory. Knowledge and experience with FEA programs would be a plus.
Engineering Documentation: Assembly drawings including bills of material and purchased hardware lists. Proven track record for sizing and material selection of required steels and alloys, cylinders and bearings would also be a plus.
Shop Interaction: Communicate regularly with machine shop, fabrication shop and assembly staff to answer questions during the manufacture of your designs. Mechanical Engineer will report to the Chief Engineer/Engineering Manager.

Position is based in our facility in Bell Gardens, CA. Some travel may be required to support our customers and our field staff.
