Application and nominations are invited for the position of Director of the School of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Director administers a school comprised of the Departments of Biochemistry, Cell and Developmental Biology, Microbiology, and Molecular and Integrative Physiology; active research programs; and baccalaureate, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. The Director reports to the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and has responsibility for administrative and budgetary decisions, educational and research policy, and for developing and leading the School's alumni and corporate relationships efforts.
Minimum qualifications: Ph.D.; current tenured appointment at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additional qualities expected: national and international reputation for scholarly productivity in biomedical research, demonstrated teaching competence, and promise of leadership and administrative competence.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Target start date: August 16, 2017.
