MGR RESEARCH PROJECT A
Duties: Provides overall daily management for a pilot study 'Palliative Care Consultations for Persons with Advanced Dementia in the Medicare Skilled Nursing Setting. Works in collaboration with the Principal Investigator and research team to ensure the integrity of the projects. Responsible for managing budgetary aspects of the project; Plans meetings. Coordinates subject recruitment and enrollment processes; conducts interviews and follow-up as appropriate. Develops and manages systems for data collection, quality control and compliance. Oversees and manages data for the research project.
Provides overall daily management for the Community/Academic Partnership to Increase Activity in Youth and Their Families Research Project in collaboration with Dr. Lipman. Prepares financial, regulatory and technical progress reports; drafts articles for publication; prepares data summaries.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years progressively responsible experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's degree preferred.
Strong research background required with prior research project management preferably in a healthcare or academic research setting. Prior implementation experience with study protocols, QA process improvement, IRB compliance management and reporting needed. Solid writing, data analysis and data management skills essential. Prior supervisory and budget management experience needed.
Experience working with a diverse population and explaining a complex study in lay terms is required. Knowledge of health care settings, in particular medical centers, and IRB requirements, is strongly desired. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills required with the ability to creatively problem solve and multi-task; ability to work independently as well as part of a research team. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and database management. Experience with electronic medical records, EndNote and statistical programs is preferred. Knowledge of and proficiency with SPSS, SAS, or Stata desired.
Flexible hours are required. Some evening and weekend work is required. Familiarity with the greater Philadelphia area is highly desired. Valid driver's license and car are required for local travel.
Position contingent upon funding. Specific end date June 30, 2018.
