RESEARCH INVESTIGATOR SR
Duties: The Senior Research Investigator will conduct human subject studies using a combination of deep-phenotyping and systems level measurements (expression profiling, metabolomics, next generation sequencing, iPS cell collection). Scientific endeavors will include clinical studies on the variability in the response to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) The Senior Research Investigator will be responsible for the overall design, conduct, and management of the clinical trials and for the administration of compliance and personnel related aspects of the clinical study. The Senior Research Investigator will also direct the clinical research unit, including the supervision of study coordinators and mentoring of clinical research fellows in protocol development and approval. The Senior Research Investigator will collaborate closely with other scientist in the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics facilitating the design and conduct of cardiovascular clinical trials, especially those designed to study sources of variation in drug response.
Qualifications: Highly advanced professional discipline. PhD or equivalent doctoral degree and 5 years to 7 years of experience required.
